Why LA offices go bottleless

Bottled delivery in Los Angeles means jugs to store in space you pay a premium for, lifting injuries waiting to happen, and delivery trucks fighting LA traffic to reach you — or not. A bottleless cooler connects to the water line your building already has. Our five-stage reverse osmosis filtration — sediment and carbon pre-filters, dual RO membranes, then a mineral add-back filter — turns LA municipal water into water your team actually wants to drink, in unlimited supply, for one flat monthly rate.

This is a monthly service for workplaces — offices, showrooms, gyms, clinics, studios, warehouses — not a party rental. We install it once and it serves your team every day. It also ends single-use plastic in your breakroom, which your sustainability report will thank you for.

How it works

1. We install — connected to your existing water line, usually in under an hour. No plumbing overhaul.

2. Your team drinks — unlimited hot, cold, and room-temperature purified water. Touchless models available.

3. We maintain — we include filter changes, maintenance visits and repairs at no extra cost. Our own technicians, never a third party.

Los Angeles tap water isn’t one thing — it depends which side of the city you’re on

Most cities have one water supply. Los Angeles has several, and they are not remotely alike. Snowmelt arriving through the Los Angeles Aqueduct is comparatively soft. Colorado River water treated at Metropolitan’s Weymouth and Diemer plants — which serves much of the Harbor area and the eastern side of the city — is more than twice as hard and carries roughly two and a half times the dissolved solids. Same city, same utility, very different glass of water:

  • Los Angeles Aqueduct (Eastern Sierra snowmelt): 112 mg/L hardness — about 6.5 grains per gallon — and 252 mg/L total dissolved solids
  • Local groundwater (northern well fields): 122 mg/L hardness, 265 mg/L TDS
  • MWD Jensen plant (State Water Project): 148 mg/L hardness, 306 mg/L TDS
  • MWD Weymouth & Diemer plants (Colorado River): 272 and 270 mg/L hardness — roughly 16 grains per gallon — with 632 and 621 mg/L TDS

Figures published by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, 2024 Drinking Water Quality Report. In 2024 the Los Angeles Aqueduct supplied 59% of the water treated at the Aqueduct Filtration Plant; purchased imported water from Metropolitan accounted for 36%.

This is why office water in Los Angeles tastes different from one building to the next, and why a coffee setup that runs clean in Sylmar scales up in San Pedro. The blend also shifts with drought years and maintenance schedules, so what your break room tasted like last spring is not necessarily what it tastes like now. Our machines run five-stage reverse osmosis, which removes the large majority of dissolved solids whatever the source — so the water at the cooler is consistent regardless of which plant fed your building this month.
